At The Alphabet Club summer is full of a variety of activities for exploring and growing with fun. The summer program for school age children is a balance of educational and fun filled field trips and activities, both on site and off site. They may include:

 

  • Library trips and museums or jazzercise and pizza.

 

  • Magic shows, karaoke and balloon critters.

 

  • Nutrition and health are a focus of touring the Whole Foods Market or a visit from sports therapist from the Museum of Health and Science.

 

  • Trips to the park to fly kites, play volleyball.

 

Additional classroom activities are designed to support the educational objectives of the activities and allow children to utilize reading and writing skills throughout the summer.

 

Pre-K Children

 

Pre-K children also have the opportunity to participate in a summer program designed especially for them. Field trips are short and close to the center. Activities are chosen based on the developmental level and personality of the group. Story hour at the library, a trip to the fire station, an afternoon of dance, or Chuck-E-Cheese for lunch provide appropriate learning experiences and lots of fun. It is also a great transition to participation in School Age program activities.
