Chetna Patel | Executive Director
Chetna Patel founded The Alphabet Club out of a deeply personal mission. As a mother of two who experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find the right childcare, she left a successful career in the healthcare industry in 2005 to create the school she always wished existed. Holding a Master's degree from the University of Houston and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, Chetna brings both academic expertise and a mother's heart to everything she does. Her vision is simple: to build a place where children are truly known, loved, and set up for lifelong success.
Maria Nieto | Director
Hi, I’m Maria Nieto, and I’ve proudly been part of The Alphabet Club family for 12 years. Working with children has always been my passion, and I truly value the relationships we build with both our students and their families.
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing a child’s face light up when they grasp a new concept or reach an important milestone. It’s equally meaningful to hear from parents who trust us and enjoy bringing their children to our school. I’ll never forget a parent sharing her surprise when she realized her child was already recognizing sight words and attempting to read a book on their own.
Moments like these are why I’m so proud to be part of The Alphabet Club. I know that what we do here gives our students a strong foundation and a true head start for kindergarten and beyond.

Chetna Patel
Hello and welcome to The Alphabet Club. It is with great appreciation that I introduce my staff and myself to you. My name is Chetna Patel and I am the Director at The Alphabet Club Child Development Center.
I am a mother of two wonderful children who have spent many wonderful years growing up here at the school.
I have a Master’s degree from the University of Houston and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
In May 2005, I decided to leave the corporate workplace in the Healthcare Industry with the aim and passion to make a difference in how we teach and care for our children.
After visiting and touring many childcare centers and preschools in the area for our first-born, my husband and I realized that it was extremely difficult to find a school that had the right balance of everything we wanted for our children.
I believe that being an educator is not just a job, it is a passion.
Together with a team of amazing and creative educators, we provide a safe, caring, loving and academic environment for every child.

With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, including Head Start and Texas School Ready, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for child development.
Maria holds a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Spanish and an Associate's in Bilingual Early Childhood Education.
As a mother of three, she understands firsthand what families are looking for and is committed to making every child feel supported and every parent feel confident in their choice.

Hi, My name is Simu, and I’ve been a toddler teacher at The Alphabet Club for 8 years. Working with toddlers is something I truly love, because this is such an important stage where children begin to explore, communicate, and gain confidence. Hi, I’m Sulochana, and I’ve been a preschool teacher at The Alphabet Club for the past 8 years. I truly enjoy working with young children and being part of such an important stage in their development. In my classroom, children begin building strong early skills—learning to write their names, recognize letters and numbers, and develop confidence in their abilities. Just as important, we focus on teaching positive behavior, good manners, and social skills that help them succeed both in and out of the classroom. Our school’s collaboration with Texas Rising Star also supports us as teachers, helping us continue to grow and provide a higher level of learning and care for every child. Hi, I’m Gulshan Khatun, and I’ve been part of The Alphabet Club for over 18 years. Working with young children—especially in early learning—has always been close to my heart, because this is where they begin building the foundation for their future. I’m truly grateful to be part of a place that provides meaningful opportunities for both children and teachers. At The Alphabet Club, we use a variety of programs and modern approaches to support learning and development, helping shape confident, capable young learners. I believe learning never ends, but choosing the right environment to begin that journey is so important. What I love most here is the strong sense of teamwork, collaboration, and the focus on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in our students.
